The following text tries to summarize at least a part of the band history but it is after a long time and our memory doesn't serve us well but in spite of that we'll try it.
It all started somewhen in spring 99', when a certain Tomáš Linhart (hereinafter referred to as Bogas) bought drums. God knows where he gathered the money. And how is possible he didn't drunk them away immediately only God knows again. This Bogas had a friend Tomáš Plavec (hereinafter referred to as Plavák) and Jirka Žilák(hereinafter referred to as Jirka). Furthermore there was a party of people they knew mostly from pubs where they were spending the most of their free time (e.g. instead of school, after the school and in the evening).
Obviously in that period of time Plavák showed interest in electric guitar. Maybe it was after Jirka's interest in bass and the guitar remained for Plavák. Then came the phase of reducing going to the pubs because of saving some money for instruments what they evidently managed.
The first rehearsal took place in Bogas' garage. It wasn't a rehearsal at all because nobody wasn't able to play anything but everybody started to enjoy it. The rehearsals came one after the other and approximately the two first months the Cigára from Visací Zámek was permanently played. Terrible. Later the own production started. The first legendary song called Brzda was born and a singer was wanted to sing that awesome lyric. Crying-into-the-recorder-built-in-microphone recruitment passed off. From all that horror the only one hopeful arisen and the band was founded in configuration: Jan Řehák (vocals), Plavák (guitar), Jirka (bass), Bogas (drums).
With the name came up Plavák and we accepted it with pleasure because some names that saw light of the day lately were terrible.
The first concert was performed after approximately half a year. It was on 30. December 99' in M-Club Heřmanův Městec. It lasted entire 15 minutes and audience were very astonished because it was a very adventurous act. It could be also called as mixture of raw punk, roar and disorder.
After this event the band started to give gigs more often, mainly along local places, mostly with today non-existing bands Pegulan, Virvalainen and Nová Strašidla. We also played some gigs with Street Machine from Pardubice. In that time we visited lots of clubs and places where the music (sometimes with wonder) can be performed. One of those places (it's impossible to do not mention this) is pub U Sparťana in Ledeč nad Sázavou. During these shows we got together with the band Horníčkova Diktatura.
The first problems set in, we don't know exactly when, but it started to take a shit. The second singer Danek Kumpera (better known as Kako (Caco)) flashed in the band in one concert during which he managed to kick out an ear of one fan :) But it was just a little project and the bad was suffering by creative inability. Bogas played in about two or three bands. In addition all the members had the feeling that there is somethning missing in our music and that it isn't exactly what we had ever wanted.
Then the break came and it lasted maybe a year. It looked that C-4 will never get together. Plavák wanted to give it over and sell his guitar, Jirka tried it somewhere elsewhere, Bogas had his other bands and we didn't even go to pub together which was, as you surely consider, very bad. Then somebody gashed it. Obviously we had saused and met somewhere, talked about it, set up a rehearsal, passed over the old songs and it started to move. Maybe a year we were hidden in rehearsal "room" and were making new songs. It wasn't nothing revolutionary but it was another music than before and it was a little better.
Then it all ended. Bogas splashed out, became a father, sold his drums and all C-4 went to fuck themselves. Try to find a drummer in such a little town if you don't even have a rehearsal place and good equipment. So we were wandering, going to pubs and still thinking about where and who we could recruit. But everything bad is good for something, the water flowed down in the end and Bogas married Andrea and they have a beautiful boy. After all that Jirka scored and found a drummer living next to Heřmanův Městec. A young guy with a second guitarist (either both or nothing). We have ever wanted to try two guitars so why not. We wasted some time by looking for the place to rehearse, but we managed it and started. We must say that the beginnings were cruel. But Aleš Smutník (the drummer) started to be better and better and after a few weeks of a hard training it started to be fine.
We got more together with Horníčkova Diktatura and performed some gigs in Přelouč (Cosa Nostra), in Chvaletice and in Kostelec. The problem was the second guitar which was bad so we were forced to give the axe to Jakub Klička (second guitar) at least.
In January 04' we made a D.I.Y. demo with four songs. You can get them in MEDIA section.
